First, you having a child and a degree to teach preschool doesn't even come close to you being able to judge anyone on being unfit to raise a child. Not to mention that's just a terrible thing to say to someone, especially when you're judging them based on less than a handful of forum posts.

He lives with his parents and can't go get food for it, he IS incapable of taking care of pets. Nothing needs to be implied, he admitted to that.

You can personally interpret all you want, but he didn't ask for advice, he asked how long he could enjoy his snakes until they die of starvation. And the parents aren't forbidding anything. All the kid said was they refuse to take him to the store. He said he could walk, there are buses, he could get a bicycle.

I won't go into details, but it's not difficult to find out where he bought the reptile from. I'd assume that person that said it was resolved called them up and explained the situation.
