i have noticed alot of posts regarding incorrect temperatures in cages/tanks. is it just me or something else, i don't find to hard to setup cages and control temperatures USE A THERMOSTAT. in most homes the heating and a/c is controlled by a thermostat. i don't think that people just turn the heat and a/c on full time, you set the temperature you want on the thermostat and it controls it. it is the same in a reptile enclosure, just smaller. i don't mean to sound rude or uncaring, but i think some research and proper tools are in order to keep reptiles in general. i think alot of problems could be avoided by using thermostats to control cage temps, don't mess with dimmers, rheostats, or keep adjusting the heat pads. just set the thermostat and let it work. maybe a sticky of some sort will help out!

    thanks

yes it would. i have been looking for a thermostat for weeks now, and can only find wall mounted ones at home depot that require wiring. i can find a reohstat, but an actual thermostat has been nearly impossible to come by. i know someone posted a link of a zoo-meds one, but i do not remember where it was posted. not one single pet or reptile store around here seems to have thermostats.
i would much rather use one, being easier to control temps, and less work as far as always having to adjust them all the time.
