    What is this mark?

Hi, Im a first time ball python owner and Im concerned because this is new to me. My BP is about 4 years old now, and he always eats other than the occasional fast for 1-2 months. anyways, i tried to feed today, and he hasnt eaten for nearly 3 months now. I try usually every other week during a fast period and once a week when not. These marks appeared under his mouth and I have no idea what they are, if someone could help before i take him to the vet that'd be great. Thank you!

Could you take him out and get a better picture?

Hey not to pour it on you here, but is that maybe a Tick on his neck in the second to last picture (kind of hard for me to tell) or are my eyes playing tricks on me? Near the brown pattern area at the top center of the frame.

I see that also, and it appears to be raised slightly.

very interesting. did you just notice it? how long have you had the snake and did it just appear? when was the last time he shed? sometimes scales can become discolored after a shed. Honestly, it doesnt look like something id worry about a ton. I'd keep an eye on it and see what it looks like after his next shed. I would hold off on the vet visit for now. No reason to stress the little dude out
