Help ball python not growing
I have a female pastel het pied out of a 2013 clutch that seems healthy eats 2x a week rat pups but isn't growing.
She is fat but not very long and only weighs 198 grams
I have doubts of a parasite but who knows. She always takes food and has always been fed twice a week. Has anyone ever experienced this?

That's weird. A 3-year-old snake who's eating properly should have grown at least a little! It could be some kind of metabolic disorder. Probably best to have the vet take a look.

Yea it's insane and she's like my go to snake if something in my rack doesn't eat i give it to her. I'll try a vet really hoping to figure it out.

Start your own thread would be best, you will have more replies on your problem and won't change topic for the person who started this thread. Unfortunately I have no input but definitely get a vet appointment and again start a new thread, you will get more help that way.

What are you feeding it? I have two brand new 2016 baby ball pythons I just got in the mail, I've been feeding them live pinky mice, just barely have their eyes open, crawlers I guess you would call them? They both ate last week. You may try breeding your own mice and see how that goes. Or if you are lucky you could get a female mouse that already has babies on her, that way the young mice won't starve to death if your snake doesn't eat them right away. I had an Arizona Mountain king snake that didn't eat for two months. I gave her live pinky mice and she ate two instantly! There's just something about live mice that triggers the feeding response. Some snakes just refuse to eat dead mice from the freezer.
