Spotted Python Can't stick tongue out?

Right after it ate I noticed it could flick it out all the way and now it's back to only the two split ends.

It sounds to me like your snake is *able* to stick its whole tongue out, but for some reason just doesn't most of the time. If it was me, I'd probably consider it a silly snake thing.
