in fact, your Markus Jayne Pastel line in itself is a line of Pastels bred to each other over many generations and as u can see in your BP, it has led to a nice, high quality BP with colors that really pop.

i was just throwing out the breeding back to parents and breeding clutch mates to each other b/c another forumer pointed out that u only have 1 BP to work with.
Yuo i know that, just wanted to know if there is any "moment" in snake inbreeding that problems could arise.
While i will love to create quality snakes i want to make sure their health will not detiorate because of too much inbreeding. Not sure if its different for each specie ot if snakes can take quite a bit of inbreeding before health starts to get affected or life lenght

i think it's more like there are genetic issues with some morphs. for example, you could breed two unrelated Black Pastels together and get kinked animals.

i've seen at least 3-4 generations of line breeding on this forum without any issues. and keep in mind, there are no know issues with breeding Pastels.

anyway i hope more experience keepers and breeders will chime in.
