Normal x Mojave & the result
Hi everybody,
I'm a newcomer in BP breeding (from Russia). This is my only 2-nd season. And look what I've got from my Normal female & Mojave male
Does anybody have any idea what can this be?
I've got one baby from Mojave previous season, but there was no yellow & brown it that hatchling...
Or this is just a weird normal? If so, can you please show me pics of your normals who were strange when hatched out?
And the other question is about such occasions as on next photo.
Maybe somebody has any idea why can this happen?

Hi,
The first snake will be easier to identify after it's first shed I think.
As for the second one were the temps in the incubator stable all the way through?

Like Derek said, shedding will help out with the first one. The first one looks like it might be a Hypo, but that coloration could darken up after the first shed or two and look more like a normal.
As for the deformity, it some times happens. I had one from a clutch of 6 that was all deformed, but couldn't find any temperature spikes or anything to explain it. It's unfortunate, but does happen.

Re: Normal x Mojave & the result
Derek, finally this odd hatchling shed, and I can show the result. As to temperatures, they weren't stable all the time, cause I've opened it quite often to check the clutch & to take off some new leopard gecko hatchlings. But it didn't take too much time.
Anyway I'll be more careful with the temperatures and humidity next time. Thank you for advice.

I don't have anything helpful to add. I'm just popping in to say that I love that baby. Very cute, and nice markings
1.0 normal ball python (Atticus)
2.0 cats (Amos and Adam)
