Talking Weirdest Thing Your Snake(s) Do

Just thought this would be a fun way to be active in the community.

My Ball Python George (Geo) has this funny thing where he freezes like a statue for a solid minute afrer we put him back in his cage, then goes in a hide and peeks out of it for another solid minute and it's so funny and cute. He also likes to look for escapes when the lights go out, and when I catch him and he acknowledges my presence he kinda looks down and away as if to say, "no, no, I am not trying to escape. Not at all trying to escape, what are you talking about. ME? ESCAPE? You're crazy".

My copperhead wags her tail if I open her tub while she is eating. It's not the mock rapid vibration and that most North American snakes do to mimic a rattler but a slow waving motion

When I take Pascal out, my bp, he's obsessed with my window. It's his favorite spot and will always go there if I put him on the bed. He will also try to climb too high on the window and consequently tumble onto the bed. He doesn't learn from his mistakes

Weirdest thing my bp does is wanting to play when i bring her out. Usually would have to force her back into the cage

Nothing to see here. Move along, human.

Figaro "knows" when I'm up for the day. I have a PM schedule. When I get up whether it's 4, 5, 6 PM he sticks his head up out of his hide and doesn't venture back in. I try to tell my husband that it isn't because of me and that it's the beginning of his active time too, but husband swears it's me. I love his little face staring at me as I walk by and I wish it WAS simply because of my presence!

Kratos is kinda like Figaro, I swear he hears my alarm. No matter what time of day. If its during the week when I wake up at 445am I dim my phone and check on him and he is always looking at my through his hole in the hide and then I talk to him for 5 minutes and then get ready for work. If I forgot something and walk back into my room I'll look in again and he will be going to his hot hide. I think he goes to his cool hide to wait for me to get up bc its the only hide facing the glass in his vision cage. I think he also hears the dogs bark when I get home, he is always there waiting looking out his cool hide and if I make it in my room quick enough I'll see him going from the hot to the cool to make sure he is in there for when I check on him. Same things happen on the weekends if I get up later and come home later. Its defiantly strange and its hard for someone to tell me they can't have am attachment to humans.

Persephone likes to give kisses. The first time I discovered this was 4 days after I brought her home. I fed her the day after I got her and waited 3 days to handle. I went to get her out and could not find her anywhere. I took off the glass and took out hides and was digging up substrate wondering how she could of escaped. My face is in her cage and all of a sudden a feel her touch my ear so I backed up a little and she was in the top slot that runs in the vision cage by the front sliding door. After I backed up she put her face up to my nose a licked it lol. Every time I have her out she will slither up my belly when I lay in bed and "kiss" the tip of my nose. She also does it to my girlfriend but not quite as often. Idk why she does that, its not like I rub mice or rats on my face lol

I have one girl that will come to the front of the tub when I enter the room. If I open the tub and hold out my hand she will come right out of the tub and up my arm. If there are any in my collection that I am attached to it is this one. She is a rescue case that I have had for about a year. When I got her she was emaciated. Ribs and spine showing. She also had a very bad attitude problem. Many rats later and a lot of patience she is up to 2600 grams and is a total angel. She is the only one I have that actually "acts like a pet". She seems to be perfectly happy to hang out with me for however long I want to keep her out.

My Brb will refuse every once in a while and play with the fuzzy by roaming and pushing the food all over the tub with his nose. My adult bp will refuse to touch clean substrate and sit on his hide for 3 days every time I deep clean the tank.
