Wild new Miami Dade county corn snake

Just got back from Miami yesterday and had a couple hours of road cruising. Managed to find this girl just of everglades national park. Miami phase corns havr always been my favorite corn locality. Reminded me of my first snake as a young child. Just had to add her to my collection. Now comes the fun part of getting her worming finished and getting her on rodents. Thanks for looking and I will be sure to post new pictures when she gets feeding and sheds.

Thanks. I have no interest in the morphs. Prefer the locals

That's awesome that you can just go outside and catch corn snakes. I've never seen wild snake once here in Chicago. She's prettier than many of the corns I've seen from breeders IMO.

Thanks Ashley. We don't have much around here but if I go on vacations, I feel that herping one night and bringing home pictures or in this case a snake is the best souvenir. I have a couple people that live or often visit this area so I'm sure I will be bringing in a male from the same area as a future mate. May have started a new species addiction to supplement my ball Python addiction.

Heres another we found about 70/miles North of the previous corn. This are was around 30 miles weat of the fort lauderdale area. Totally different animal. Didn't want to muck up the beautiful Miami blood by keeping to pair with her so I left him be. Pretty snake but not as pretty to me as the silver Miami Dade corns from the southern everglades

Those are such beautiful corn snakes. It's awesome that they're wild. I guess I never knew where corn snakes were native to. Good idea to leave that one in the wild! It will produce some stunning babies.
