Talking Handled Her For The First Time !!!!

so i have been dying to hold her but i wanted to wait until after Sunday (when i plan to feed her), although yesterday my nephew came in (hes as old as she is) 1 year and he was saying "ouuut" and "ssssssssss" so i was thinking about it then when i went to change her water, she came out to inspect me, i waited till she was done investigating, then i just slid my hand under her and picked her up. She was perfectly fine with it, although i kept really short like 10 minutes, i was so happy.. and so was my nephew, im not going to handle her anymore until she eats and digests but just though i should share how exited i was, Pictures coming later btw.

Awesome! I'm glad you got to hold her! I just bought my first BP at a Reptile show in Wisconsin. Did you get to hold her at the show, before you bought her? Is she your first snake? The one I bought is my family's 3rd snake, but first BP. She is a 3 month old normal, but I think she's very pretty, and I just love her personality. I look forward to seeing pictures.

    Yay!

It's great when they come out to see what you're doing. I guess they're checking for food, but still. Good to hear the first handling session was positive for you all!

Yep, congrats on the first successful handling! It's good to keep it short the first few times. I normally wait about 36 hours or so before I handle after feeding. Some say after 24 is fine, and I've done that too... If she doesn't some right out to you, which they won't always do, just put your fingers together and make a flat scoop and go right under her and lift her up. Easy Peesy!

    Great to hear Meech!

Sounds like you got some good advice and you have a lot of confidence with your new friend.

Hope that first feed goes well for ya, don't stress if it doesn't though.

We're in the 48 hour window now, I'm looking forward to the next weight check.

That's fantastic, congrats! You will experience even more joy when your nephew begins to handle her as well.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.
