My BP went into his hide for the first time ever.

I'm not sure if there's anything wrong. But I just want to be sure there isn't. I've owned my ball python for a year now, he's 3 years old, usually active in the middle of the day. But two days ago, he went into his hide, which is a smaller one, so he only fits halfway in. Which is cute, but I'm just wondering why he's just not deciding to hide there.

    Thanks !

Possibly too small. They like it tight but also to be fully in the hide.

What type of enclosure is he in? If not in a tub, he should have at least two hides, big enough for him to get his whole body into.

Is he darkening up for a shed? Maybe not quite in the blue yet?

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.
