    Not true. If the room the BP is in is not around 80degrees then you will need a heat source to bring the ambient heat up in the tank. For this I do use a heat lamp in the one tank I do have. Some prefer CHE which are not bad but I like the red look in the tank and it goes well with the BP's name (Chaos).

    I would say do not handle for at least a week. And like Coluber said, you should preferably wait until she eats for you first. I usually feed after a week of acclimation but have fed after 3 days with great success (normal feeding day for the others and the newbie looked interested).

    My bad, I was assuming it was a basking LIGHT and not a heat emitting bulb only like a CHE, which is fine
