If my Helix is set @ 90 deg should my flexwatt be reading the same if I'm using a temp gun ? I'm running 4 inch flexwatt and 5 shelves @16 inch long paired with a Helix all new..Right now I'm getting readings of 84 deg .Thanks

On the tape or inside the tub?

On the tape yes.
There is heat loss when transferring to the inside of the tub so you will have to run a little hotter to get what you want in the tub.

Thanks, I'm only getting around 86 now on the flexwatt and its been running a full day now, any clue why this vould be. Thanks

Check your connections.

Flex watt is unfortunately not as consistent as we may like it to be. Ends tend to be a little warmer than the middle and its probably +- 2 degrees over the whole thing. With that said, check the temperature where your probe is. If thats not 90 than you may have a problem.

I pulled the tubs and all the centers of the flexwatt strips are spot on and the ends are off a bit on the lower side..I think I'll leave it for now. Thanks

Are you only checking with one thermometer or temp gun? I use a few different devices for checking heat so I can compare them to one another. Sometime devices will just need calibrated again or batteries are low or just simply has gone bad.
