RHP safe with misting system?

I'm strongly considering switching from uth to rhp, using 2 for each enclosure to keep a temp gradient, bc of all the great things I hear but I use a mistking system bc my humidity in my house stays at 25-30%. Everyone knows water and electricity don't mix but they make waterproof heat mats (which I use) so I was wondering if any certain brand rhp are also waterproof.

Why? Mats don't go in the enclosure.
I wouldn't see a problem. Its not like you are going to have the mister pointed at the panel.
I would work on a better enclosure that holds humidity.

I use Kane heat mats which I was given the thumbs up by everyone who replied to my old thread to use in enclosure. One of those who replied was a super moderator so that gave me more confidence in doing so. I also have intellitemp mats that bah say can be used in enclosure but I have them for back up. Also I use vision cages for my 2 bp due to humidity issues. I burn wood in the winter so that doesn't help my humidity any. I have mister set at 7 seconds every 2 hours and it makes my humidity 60 after misting and drops to 50 before it mists again.

I'm currently using RHP's from Reptile Basics. Unless your misting system is spraying directly at the front of the panel (where the indicator light is located) or at the back (where the cord comes out), I wouldn't be worried about it. They are sealed up very well. That being said, I wouldn't want running water on it, but I've misted my T8 before and gotten the RHP wet, and it is usually dry within a minute.

Set it up so the RHP isn't constantly saturated, and I think you'll be fine.

Yes there are mats that can be used inside but in a vision there is no need.
I would only place in a wood enclosure that has a floor to thick to penetrate.
To each his own though.
How large is your water bowl and have you tried placing part of it on the heat mat?

Personally I've never liked having anything with electrical cords inside the cage. Sometimes it's unavoidable with certain heat mats and my burms have waterproof heat mats inside the cage and it's worked out great for them, but if I can do it without cords inside the cage that's what I prefer. I know others in the past have had RHP's burn out in a high humidity environment, but I think earlier RPH's were not sealed as well. Maybe contact the RHP manufacturer and see what they say?

My water bowl is on the mat and is decently sized. I had the Kane heat mats outside before and then I was testing them inside and between the 2 it heated my air temps 4 degrees so I decided to leave them in. How I have them is so where the cords go into the mats is close to the wall then I drilled holes and plugged them and there is only an inch of cord in the enclosure. I was looking at the rhp from reptile basics so I'll be contacting them as suggested. Just wanted to know others experiences but it doesn't seem to many people use misting systems.
