Anybody use Acurite Wifi Thermometers/hygrometers?
Anybody use the Acurite AcuLink Internet Bridge?

Was thinking about picking one up and then using the wireless sensors one in each of my tubs. Sensors are only like $12 so comparable with other digital thermometers/hygrometers

I use a wireless sensor acurite but it really can only be used for air temp and humidity. You need a thermometer with a probe or a temp gun for your floor heat. It works great for air and humidity though. The wireless sensor is to big and bulky to put on floor in a hide where your snake would lay, it wouldn't leave any room for him/her. Plus how the sensor reads the temp and humidity it just wouldn't be an accurate reading of substrate/floor temp.

I've got a set here. I use them to get a general idea of what's going on in the snake room and in the incubator. They're worth the price, and I like that you can calibrate them through the website, but don't expect them to be miracle workers.

The sensor also reads temp/humid every 30 seconds so after misting, if you have to, it may take 5 minutes to give you the exact reading.

To the people that use them do you find them to be relatively reliable as in they are reading correct temps/humidity. Also how long do batteries in the sensors last? I would be using them to measure ambient temps and humidity in the cages thermostat takes care of the belly heat.

They aren't 100% spot on but they are relatively close .. I use them in the majority of my racks for an idea of the temps on each level . Then I'll use the laser gun to get the exact temps if needed .

They're accurate enough and have the ability to be calibrated. Not sure on the battery life...
For your purposes, a probed Accurite would likely be a better choice. Remember - a thermostat does not tell you the temperature of the hot spot. It only controls the amount of power being sent to the heat source. You still need something to make sure it's doing its job properly, which a probed thermometer would do. There are Accurite models with probes that also read ambient temperature and humidity at the unit itself that many people (including myself in the past) use successfully.

only need the thermometer/hygrometer for ambient temps. Ive dialed in hot spot temperatures by using heat gun and adjusting thermostat accordingly. Purpose of the wireless probes is so I don't have to look into each individual bin to check on temperatures i can just look on my phone or computer and see all the bin temps. Also don't want to run any probes inside the tubs to much moving in and out and then a pain when you need to take the bin out for cleaning etc...

Ah. Well there you go then. They'd work well for that.

As for accuracy I put 3 other thermometer probes next to where I hung my acurite sensor and they were all within + or - 1 degree. The humidity I've only compared to my probed acurites and they were exactly the same reading. I also did a salt test on the sensor and it read 74% only 1% off. You can put all the sensor in the same bag and do the salt test and if there off you can calibrate them.
