As long as they stay hydrated with the appropriate humidity percent and a bowl large enough to soak in they should be able to withstand the food refusals. We just need to monitor the weight and maybe offer smaller sized meals bi monthly.

Thanks Albert. My humidity is 65%, he's caged in a T8. Has a bowl of good clean water plenty big for him to soak in but I've never seen him do that.
Going to try a small f/t rat again tonight. I have some f/t adult mice for my daughters corn snake but I hate to open that barn door. My daughters little Mohave is in deep blue so if she refuses tonight I may try giving Walter her fuzzy rat.
