what size rat is the equivalent to a medium mouse?

I bought another bp today and they were feeding her small mice and they gave me one free since her feeding day is suppose to be tomorrow but I think a small mouse is to small. I think a medium would be good but I want to get her on rats. What size rat would be the same size as a medium mouse?
I should also wait a week even though her feeding day is tomorrow right? It looks like she has already adjusted pretty well but I can't read her mind.

As far as waiting a week goes, they are all different. I've had some eat same day and others that needed time to adjust. The key is to recognize the difference and not push the ones that are initially more shy. If they refuse, don't keep trying every day. Make sure your husbandry is on par, leave them alone, and wait a week before trying again.

My super pastel is still giving me problems with eating. I keep thinking I'm doing something wrong but idk what. He has plenty of hides, plants, humidity and temps are perfect. He always seems interested then gets scared it seems. He has ate for me 4 times in the past 2 in a half months. Rats is always thawed and heated properly. Tried different sizes. I've tried f/t, pre killed, and live. So far f/t has been what he's ate on the 4 occasions so I just stick to that. Only thing I haven't tried is mice.

Is he your only BP, or is he an exception to your otherwise good-eating collection? Have you posted pics of his set-up for open feedback? Sometimes having a second set of eyes can be helpful. On this forum, there are lots of folks available to do just that.

He was my only one until last night lol I picked up a killerbee that was labeled as a bumblebee, some people on this forum helped me figure out in the genetics section. But no I haven't posted pics and that is a great idea. I'll post a new thread after I do.
