Don't worry too much about the Baileys reptile posting. That animal was born with her organs outside. Yours appears to not only be a small hole, but she has lived with it for some time. She could not have done so with organs outside of her body. There shouldn't be any reason it can't be stitched either. The vet will have to remove some skin and scales (it will never close by simply stitching the skin together) so that it can bind together. So long as there isn't some off circumstance that prevents your vet from doing this procedure then it's likely that in a few weeks you won't be able to tell that it wasn't closed in the first place.
