Mashadar just hit 507g, and is eating like a champ. Hasn't missed a meal yet. He is has been out growing the feeder rat size, so his food is a little small for him and I've been feeding every 5 days because of this. I bought 25 weaned rats from big cheese and they are all between 38 and 51 grams. I have weighed all the rats and have been feeding in order from smallest to largest, he's just growing so FAST. I don't know when/at what weight they are considered adults and how that effects feeding times. If he had his way, he'd eat every 3 days
I know that when they get to a certain size they don't grow as fast and can start putting on fat instead, and that is something I want to avoid.
He is 8 months old, 36ish inches long, 507 grams. I know that weight is more important than age, so when does everyone push back their feedings to 7 days (I have read everywhere between 500 and 1000 g for males is considered adult size)?
