    The wait is over!

We have eggs! Tex laid early this morning. Poor girl looks like an inner tube with the air let out. Got 6 good eggs and two slugs. The good ones are all full of veins. Really pleased as this is her first clutch.

0.1 Super Black Pastel and two possible sires. First is 1.0 Pied, and the second is 1.0 Mojave Yellow Belly. Hoping for a clutch of Black Pastel Hets, but I never saw any locks with the Pied. He did spend 3 days with her 4 times so it could have happened. Definite locks with the MYB. Either way I'll be happy though.

Nice pearly whites there! How are you planning on figuring out which Black Pastels are in fact hets?

    Re: The wait is over!

Well Eric, that's the million $$$ question. If the all come out Black Pastel I feel I can be reasonably sure they're hets. If it's a mixed bag, who knows. Guess I'll have to keep a male if I get one and try and prove it out in a year. Of course with a double sired clutch there is no way of really know till then. Maybe I'll get really luck and have a clutch with markers though. That'd at least help.

Do you plan on selling them or holding them all back? Although with a super black pastel mom I'm sure plenty of people will pay for them with that chance of being het for pied.
