That's what I was thinking. Either that or silicon but I want to be able to remove it easily if need be so silicon probably isn't best. I swear they use to sell cord plugs for TV/entertainment stands so it would look cleaner then just a hole in the stand but I can't find them anywhere. Probably just have to just use a rubber or plastic plug like you said and cut a slit. Probably the easiest solution.
