    Recessive will hold their value better, if you plan on breeding concentrate in females first and worry about a male in a year and a half down the road as female takes longer, it will also allow you to get more gene for probably the same price you were planning on now.

    As to what get what YOU like because whether you spend $100 or $3500 YOU are the one that will feed, clean and care for this or those animals, so you better make sure you like them and that you are still thrilled about opening there enclosure in 1 or 10 years from now.
