    Super Pastel? What else?

hi guys, I was thinking of getting this Super Pastel boy, but not sure what to look out for in searching for a BP. btw, this boy will be imported (that's right. i wont be able to see it first hand until it arrives).

are there any tips on what i should look out for to make sure its healthy/really a super pastel etc etc?

here are some pictures that the seller has provided.

i'm pretty new to this, so please forgive me. but arn't super pastels supposed to have much brighter yellow highlights?

    some other info:
age - about 3 months old
    sex - male
    length - about 1 foot

    thanks in advance!

Looks super pastel to me. With the blushed appearance (whitish areas) on the yellow and black coloration. The yellow in this pastel seems diminished. The patterning seems consistent with pastel. The green eyes are also consistent with the pastel gene. See if the seller can show you pictures of the parents and tell you what they were. Ask him to put it in writing for you for your records too. Good luck. That's a gorgeous animal. The blushed out head stamp is something used to pick out super pastels also. The yellow could just be a low expressive color in this particular individual snake.

It depends on the gene of the pastel, some hold yellow very well into old age, some brown out completely, some brown out more on top than bottom. Super pastels tend to hold the color a little better, but the blushing seems to fade somewhat. (I don't have a full grown super pastel, just a 800g one)

In my experience those pastels that have a more orange look to them as hatchlings will brown out a lot more then those that are a lighter yellow color.
