Glad to hear of the safe arrival. This is a great example of why proper packaging is so important. Using at least 3/4" insulation (which is required by both FedEx and ShipYourReptiles standards) offers not only thermal protection, but structural protection as well. Protection against crushing, smashing, conveyer belt issues, or getting bumped by a forklift while palletized.

As for Sig Required, that has always been an OPTION that you have to select during the booking process, and costs a few dollars extra. Without selecting Delivery Confirmation (sig required) the driver can leave the package in what they deem to be a safe location. That is also why it is so important for the recipient to be anticipating the delivery and on high alert for the package to show up.

If the driver encounters a human being, they will get a signature, but unless Delivery Confirmation has been paid for, they will usually just knock and leave the package.
