She really is so fascinating and it's been so neat to figure out her preferences and routines. This community has been so wonderful I really enjoy browsing the forums and if you ask for help everyone is more than willing to help. (Thanks everyone)

We didn't know that you needed a thermostat to control an under tank heater pad - so please I pass along my mistake/knowledge in this area as it's very important and we were never told. I'm sure with your extensive research you will come across this info but I'm just sharing my newbie mistake. Luckily our baby never got burned but that can happen without the UTH being controlled by a thermostat.
Yea we are very excited about getting one, I never realized the life span of the BP i guess it really caught me off guard to think that we may very well still have this pet even after my 6 year old daughter goes off to college and then even begins her own family (you know... when she's allowed to date at age 25... hahaha)

Thanks for the info as-well I want to make sure that I make this environment as comfortable as I can! Right now I'm looking at getting a Zoo Med hygrotherm humidity and temperature controller, accompanied by a zoo med repti fogger, and a uth pad. The only thing I can't seem to figure out with this setup is how to regulate the "hot spot" and the lower temp side with this controller... so I may wind up having to do a UTH and seperate thermostat on the cool side. I figure heat on both ends will be necessary because I don't have a particular room in my house to be able to raise the radiant heat that high and the temperature usually stays around 68 to 72 degrees.
