Your ambient temps are not bad either at 78 degrees. I would just higher the hot spot(heating mat) alittle bit to about 90. Other than that everything looks great!
I'll be doing that tomorrow when the new thermostat comes in. I'm really not a fan of the one I currently have. The temp has risen to about 87 basking, it may still be going up. Humidity has dropped to about 66 so it looks like everything is starting to balance out. As this is my first snake, I'm just really nervous about messing it up. Given the nature of BPs as well, I just want him to settle in. He's gone back under his hide after doing some looking around, so I'm more content now.
