Okay, thanks for the reassurance everyone! He is a Tarahumara that I got from Stephen over at Scaly Babies. I was a little concerned because he is so much lighter than my female (pictured below), and always has tended to keep that lighter shade. Someone a while back had made a comment about his head spear not looking right, and it started to get into my head. I absolutely adore him, either way. He is now approximately 1.5years. Loving this species, and once my argentine outgrows her tub in the rack, will probably add another female.

Seems to be a persistant opinion held by some out there that the head spear of a Tara MUST be black, and anything lighter means the animal is not pure Tarahumara. Well, I have Russo's book, with photos on pages 91 and 92, showing Tarahumara boas with head spears that are dark brown, not black. I recall other similar pics on his site too - brown spears.

That might be what they were referring to.
I am not an expert, and don't own this locality (wish), but it does look like a Tara to me.
