I bought some 1" PVC and some plastic closet rod hangers- the kind where one side is slotted so the rod drops in from above. I cut the PVC to length, and roughed it up with sandpaper. Then I mounted the closet rod hangers in the cage (after lots and lots of measuring) with a single through-bolt each, and a short screw to keep them from rotating.Great looking CP and setup. Did you make the pvc perches? If so, how? If not, where to get them?
I ran a single bolt through each of the non-slotted rod hangers and keyed the Perches to it using a hand drill. That way the perches can't spin. I capped the rough ends of the bolt/nuts with a yellow wire nut that I stuck on with hot glue. Hopefully that will alleviate the possibility of cuts/scrapes.
I can post some pictures, or just pm them if you want more info.
Mine does- the garden section sells a lot of cacti/air plants, and they sell HUGE chunks of grapewood which I believe you are supposed to plant the air plants in. I was able to get two sections (they are seriously huge) for, I think, $9 and $14 each. Way cheaper than I've seen from any reptile suppliers. They were a little damp so I let them cook in the sun for a week or so before I put them in the cage.Home depot has grape wood?
Yeah he seems happy. I really want to find him a girlfriend now!Nice man,
You got it dialed in! Enjoy that. I'm wanting another now.
That's a great looking girl, Reinz- and yes, my guy was hanging out in a little pile by his front door this morning. I didn't get a picture though.
