Re: What does everyone do for a living?

Everyone has such neat jobs, way to go everyone! Now for my next question...do your co-workers think you're odd for having snakes as pets? hahah I am the youngest at my company by quite a bit and do all sorts of odd hobbies I think everyone thinks I'm nuts.

I'm trying to get a bachelors in Classical Studies, which is basically the history and literature of ancient Rome and Greece And since everyone asks, I hope to someday teach the very same subject at a college level

I manage the social media for The Reptile Report. If you follow The Reptile Report on Facebook that's me! (Well, not 100% me, all the posts with the links to The Reptile Report's website are Emily - the rest are me).

I am an commercial/industrial electrician. I work all over the metro detroit area. My co-workers definitely think I am odd for having reptiles, but in the construction trade, if you think someone is normal they are just hiding something from you

No one knows I have anything other than dogs. If I don't want you to, I can have you in my house for hours and all you will ever know about is my dogs. And you won't even see them, just hear their feet and barking. I leave them upstairs. You have to earn access to my upper floor.

Note: we own our home, so we aren't hiding animals from landlords lol. I just don't want to deal with the drama most people bring with them. I get enough crap for having a garden. Just wait until I expand the plot this year! They've whined enough that I've decided I want cucumbers and pumpkins. I don't complain about their peaches and rotten fruit in my yard giving my dogs the runs, they can just hush about my veggies.

If I thought I could get away with it i would have chickens. Or at least quail. But well... I still get peta stuff about that time I came home with a deer carcass. Smh.

so yeah, I don't share with my neighbors lol.

Served 4 years in the Marines and used some of the money I saved up to get started. Now I am a certified personal trainer about to launch an online trainer.

I'm an aircraft mechanic. I've only told a couple people at work about my snake. One thinks it's awesome, he wants a green tree python and has a bearded dragon. The other thinks it's weird/creepy and doesn't like snakes

My bosses daughter said today her goal is to work for Pixar. Super talented young lady, still in high school. Sounds like a pretty good gig you have there. lol.

I work with a good group of guys... We're all IT guys, and I think each one of us has our own unique hobbies... nobody really bats an eye about my reptiles. The ones that don't like snakes don't really come around anyways, so I don't care.
