Hi and welcome. Firstly, don't use any heat mat until you get a thermostat to control it. Very important!!! Secondly, you will need a hygrometer that is digital and has a probe for the most accurate humidity monitoring. One that incorporates the temperature monitoring. It should only take a few minutes for the temp and humidity readings to start registering.
