Our new baby has pooped a whole bunch of times (poop, not urates... although he's done those too) since we got him, each one getting a little larger than the last. I'm pretty sure that the total volume of poop he's produced since arriving may actually be larger than the total volume he has eaten with us. My only assumption is that he must have been saving it up for awhile at the store before he got here, and something about his new environment has inspired him to make regular contributions to it. I *think* that we have now caught up with the most recent meal, and that we'll be seeing a more reasonable food-to-poop ratio from now on. But it's sort of odd how he didn't dump all the ballast at once, just did it piecemeal.
