Well today was an extremely busy day for me. I had to go to SUNY and pay 180$ for freshman orientation *bleh* Then they wouldn't give me my ID card cause I wasn't registered for classes yet, well duh people, I haven't been to orientation yet...hence the paying for it that day

Then I had to straighten out all my financial aid, and made a passing comment at the Residential Office about housing not being available, and they told me that there were a number of cancelations...hmm interesting.

So I went over to the housing building, and they had an apartment open...the same ones the NY Giants are using right now for Training Camp. So I filled out this form and all of a sudden, as of Saturday I have an apartment O_O Exciting, cause I thought I would have to stay home this year, but nerve-wracking cause now I have to get all my stuff ready to move out o_O Then I swung over to the AT&T store and picked up my new cell-phone, so thats fun to play with.

Then I went to Hollywood Video to straighten out my application there.

Its been an busy, exciting, good, happy day.

EDIT: OH yeah, "technically" its not ok to have any pets besides tropical fish in there, but seeing as I have a room all to myself, with a lock on it, I can do it, cause tons of people do. Hell, my sister's roomate had a 3 foot igauna in her room O_O

Be careful, I thought I was safe when I was living in the Xavier University dorms until a girl down the hall saw my door open slightly, looked in, saw the cage and called the police. My snake was confiscated and only through a long discussion and lots of tears was I able to spare her from being euthanized per the school's policy.

Oh man, I let the waterworks rip on that one. It was a lot of stuff compounded; I hate living in a dorm, I was so far from my family, working my butt off on organic chem 5 hours a day, and the thought of losing my baby Roo was the last straw. Luckily a good friend babysat her for 2 weeks until I could move into a new apartment, and we've been happy ever since. My best friend and I live together in Columbus now, and she loves the snakes, as well as my landlord. It's one big happy herp family.
Alkaurkharim, good luck moving in and in the coming school year!

Well I don't think I'll have that problem myself Alice as these are seperate apartments. Each persons room has a big metal door with a key lock, as do the apartment door, and the door to get into the building can only be opened by a swipe card or buzzer from someone in the apartment :p So only people who will see it are my roomates, maybe. I'll have a chance to meet who I'll be living with in the apartment on Saturday, and ask them how they feel about snakes. More often then not, guys love snakes, so I may not have a problem at all.

EDIT: Oh and thanks for the congrats everyone I'm pretty excited.

Dorm in your backyard? Yikes! And I thought it was bad when I lived in a dorm and had a stadium in my backyard.
