After they shed I will separate them and give them two days and then feed. I would like to start them all on rat crawlers (I prefer to not feed my balls mice) however the runt (Hatchling #1) is only 50 grams so I may have to go with a mouse hopper for it for the first few feedings unless I can find some runt rat crawlers. Hatchling #2 is 65 grams and Hatchling #3 67 grams. Hatchlings 4,5,and 6 appear to be about the same size as #2 and 3 but they are yet to come out of their eggs so we will see.
Very good , now as far as starting them on rats it can be done, even at 50 grams (pink rats which are 1 to 4 days are very small). I usually start everything on mice now, they are more enticing and give me a higher success rate when it comes getting my hatchling to take their first meal easily, they get switched to rats by meal 2 or 3 (the advantage is that I produce my own feeders).
