Rex going into shed?
My PB is currently nestled far up inside a hollow tree branch hide on his hot side. He came out and said hi to me for a minute, and I noticed his skin looks a little loose and leathery, and he had completely drained his water dish of water. Also, his color looks faded, but his eyes aren't blue. Is this the first signs of an upcoming shed? He just took a large meal on Saturday, and has been hanging out in said tree hide most of the day ever since.
I'm guessing he's one of the "shy" shedders.
Thoughts?

How is the temperature and humidity within the enclosure?
It's tough to determine from the details provided :-)

Re: Rex going into shed?
High side- 88 degrees, low side- 79. humidity is at 55%. I would post a pic, but he's well hidden inside the tree hide. Also, I noticed him rub his nose a couple times saturday after feeding, but thought nothing of it.

Besides the blue eyes, another way to determine if the animal is in/going to shed is a pink belly.

I thought i saw a slight (i mean the tiniest) pinkish tint to his belly when i fed him, but I haven't noticed anything pinkish again

make sure to bump up your humidity to like 70% to help your BP with a nice, smooth shed. u can try adding a humid hide (hide with damp moss) or mist.
Edit: also is your BP in a tree like this? be careful he becomes stuck. some of the larger trees have hallow walls that need to be plugged up so they don't sneak in there and get stuck.

just make sure he's using it properly.
