Just got home , They are not stressed out at all they like to just lay around , they are the best lap snakes lol I really like the the Bloods. They eat good they like socializing at least mine do. If mine are moving around all day I would need to pin down what ever is causing the problem, laying around no problem. Hope this helps ya.
Mine rarely move around in the cage, usually hang out on the cool side, rarely go over to the hot. Every now and then they go for a drink and dunk, spill water all over but the only time I've seen one be actively out and about was my blood after a huge bowel movement and with a couple weeks to the next feeding-he was out in front daily staring me down for a meal. Even when they are out and about I can leave them on the floor and not worry about them moving fast and getting into trouble like the other snakes I own.
Is it normal for them to not move around a whole lot? Maybe because of stress?

actually, not moving much is what bloods do. a lot of movement would be a better indicator of stress. these guys are lazy! they make BPs look hyper-active.
Here’s what I’ve found about Bloods. They will huff and puff and blow the house down. It can be intimidating to the inexperienced. But they’re actually pretty calm snakes as long as their needs are met. Forget the huffing and puffing, if their tail is wagging, you’re about to get bit. If their tail is not wagging, no worries.
