    Modifying an AP t8?

I love my AP t8 for my Brazilian rainbow boa, but I'm regretting getting the 12" height option. I'm thinking of buying either wood or pvc if I can find it and creating a taller area on one side. Maybe three feet high. This would allow for a branch and climbing for my boa.

I know this is in the BP section but I'm really just wondering if anyone has ever modified a pvc terrarium. If so, how did it work, and do you have any tips or lessons learned?

I would just build another cage, if you want to add 3' to one side that all most as much pvc as the whole t8 enclosure, they do how ever sell 2'x8' pieces of pvc for not much less than a whole sheet of pvc at Home depot . home depot will cut any of there sheet stock to what ever measurements you want.

You might as well get a whole new terrarium because you literally have modify all 4 sides. Plus, the glass wouldn't fit either.

Take it as a lesson learned and call it a day.

    Re: Modifying an AP t8?

Maybe I wasn't clear. When looking at the cage from the front, I would remove the right wall (or cut a large hole in it), and provide another area for climbing. Yes, it's essentially building a new enclosure and attaching it, but I don't think it would be hard to attach it with screws and joints to the t8. I looked through home depot's website and didn't see any PVC panels, but maybe I can use something similar. I expected that I wasn't going to be the only one ever wanting to do this.

the product your looking for is veranda pvc 1/2 sheet (4'x8'). its very easy to cut and you can get some 3/4inch screw to screw together. Its defiantly can be done with minimal tools. jig saw, sand paper , screw gun

Could you just stand the t8 on its end? Maybe not with the sliding doors.
