    They both have big light patches right on their spine behind their head, but the spots look totally different to me and are spaced apart differently..

    Those first two don't look like they're the same snake at all... the back markings are completely different.

    Definitely not the same snake. Check out the back/neck striping on the snake in pic 2. Look at the section that would make up the middle of an 'S' curve going from left to right. The back striping is broken up there in three smaller spots. The snake in pic one doesn't have this at all.
