Yeah, the brown stuff disappeared a few days ago! I guess it really was a scab... somehow on both eyes in the same location.

I guess it's the scale configuration or something? Like that particular area has the scales on where they can easily lift, or something. Glad to hear they're all healed up and it's nothing bad

Weird. Is there anything he could've rubbed on? Maybe a little rough spot on the edge of an air hole?

I have no idea... could one of the air holes! He will be upgrading to a bigger tub very soon, so I'll have to remake one anyway.
