Aggressive eating.

This is our first time breeding, so we are not really sure what to expect. We have paired three of our females each two times. Two have had one visual lock, and the other two. For the past couple of weeks all three of the females have been extremely aggressive, and can't wait to get their meals. They wait by the front of the tub and strike as soon as we open the tub. I have read that it is bad to over feed them while breeding, but they seem really hungry. Is this a normal behavior and a sign of good things to come?

That is definitely a good sign! All of the girls that I paired this season were feeding super aggressively like that up until these past few weeks, and now I just had my first ovulation of the season today.

Aggressive eating is a good sign! It can mean they're trying to bulk up for the process of carrying eggs.
