Scale and Pit Issue!! Please help!

So I took my boy out of his enclosure tonight to check on him. Just a bit of back story, He hasn't eaten in 4 weeks but is still at 1018g so I figured it was okay and that he was just not feeling like eating. But I have still been offering every week. I have been having a hard time keeping his humidity up the last week or so (it's very dry where I live right now). But on average it's about 50%, hot side is 94F and cool side is about 88F, ambient is 86F. I noticed that he has been soaking in his bowl the last 2 nights so I thought he might have mites. (I have recently changed his bedding to cypress mulch because of the humidity issue). So when I pulled him out tonight to check on him, I noticed this, it looks like dirt but it won't come off so I'm wondering if it is scale rot? I wouldn't think so because I've been having a humidity issue, but I thought I should ask. I also noticed that his pits seemed to be really bright in color, which I have never seen before, They usually are not that bright in color (or maybe they are and I'm freaking out over everything right now). Should I just take him to the vet or is this something I can fix at home. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Also just to add that I have removed all of the substrate and put down paper towels.

I can't say for sure about the scales on the abdomen, but the heat pits look normal. Every now and then in certain light the pits look much redder than normal, and since he is a lighter snake, you are probably just seeing the tissue better. Hopefully someone with experience will have advice on his scales.

Just my opinion but I think I would lower your temperature a bit on both hot and cool side my snakes would do everything to get out if they are too hot. Your guy sounds like he is over heated so he's trying to cool down by getting in water.

Hot side is good around 92° surface temp, no higher than 95° at the enclosure floor. Cool side is good around 80°. You're not giving your snake much of a temp range and no real cool side at all. Also, those heat pits look normal to me. Not sure on the scales. Does it look like it could be abrasions?

No there are no black dots, I couldn't find any signs of mites.

Update: Upala is doing a little better. I gave him a bath this morning before work and put some salve on him. He is looking a little better this evening after I got home and checked on him. Thank you so much for your replies. I am thinking it was just that he got scraped up on his rock hide or his log. I removed the rock hide and put in a plastic one so hopefully, that will help while he is recovering. Thanks again!

I lowered my temps a bit. Thanks for this information. I do think that it is just an abrasion. Thanks so much!
