How to safely transport reptile tanks?

We are moving in about a week and we have several tanks to move. We were wondering the safest way to do so, as many friends have offered their trucks and I wasn't sure it would be ideal...I don't need them to crack... we have two 40B, one 29, and one Crested gecko tank.

the tanks are more durable than you think...keep them secured and immobile and you should be fine. Put them with tubs or with bags of clothes. or put them in the backseat. the only thing you would have to worry about is very hard objects or rigid angular objects. Make sure you keep them empty of ceramic bowls or hard decorations before transportation. Obviously (I know you know) do not transport the animals in those tanks. Please place any snakes in bags\pillow case or proper transport medium before moving. You will be fine no worries!!

I got lucky when I transported mine in that they all fit pretty securely in the back of a van. I just wedged towels between them to keep them from touching each other and they stayed pretty immobile the whole time.

Good luck with the move! Moving multiple herps can be a headache.

I wrap tanks in blankets and beach towels. Then strap them together. Just like moving a hutch or dressers.
