    Shift in feeding aggression

Recently my corn had a drastic change in his attitude, specifically at dinner time.
When I first got him I had him in a 10 gallon tank and fed f/t mice which he took no issue. He wouldn't constrict, simply bite the head and start eating right off the tongs. He did the same thing after moving to a 20 gallon, bite and begin swallowing immediately without bothering to constrict.

A few weeks ago I switched him into a 6' pvc cage and also switched him to rats for his first feeding in it, which is when his attitude changed.
His attitude outside the cage is the same as always, he wants to explore everywhere and climb everything, but when feeding him now he grabs the rat, full body wraps it and starts thrashing around like he's fighting a live rat twice his size. This only lasts 20-30 seconds and then he's back to devouring his meal like normal.

Im not worried by it, I find it quite amusing. Although I'm very curious to know if its because its a new prey, a new cage he doesn't feel secure in, the fact there are other snakes in the room now or maybe he just learned how to constrict
So Id like to know how other corns act during feeding, juveniles compared to adults, do juvies often not constrict, do corns thrash around when eating if they feel threatened, and any other insight

Oh man, when my corn was a baby, she would literally swing in circles around her mouse, and keep going... her tail flailing. It was very amusing. As she has grown, prey has gotten bigger, she now grabs and coils one to two wraps and that's it. Not as fun anymore... but I still love her. I believe that as a baby, they are very nervous and just eager to start eating, or maybe, being children as they were, just simply excited about eating. Who knows? My corn is still excited when she sees prey, but is more mature and "professional" about it, comes with age I guess. We all have to grow up at some point.

Oh yes, mine loves banging his tail making noise and throwing aspen everywhere too
He was going a little too wild and took a mouthful of fur off.

He gets so wrapped around the rat it just disappears
