RHP t-stat probe question

Are you guys not using a thermometer for the ambient? Im wondering if i can trust the t-stat to heat up the ambient temp without needed 2 dangling probes to monitor (of course with me occasionally checking with a laser thermometer until im comfortable with it

Your heat gun will work fine, however what about your hygrometer?

I have a wired combo unit, thermometer/hygrometer on the cool side in this cage and a portable wireless Accurite on the warm side. Basking shelf I check with the gun.



The probe is just hanging back by her tail and hide in this picture.
