Sorry for all of the RHP questions, I just want to make sure my future friend is as cozy as possible.

I was thinking, The reason why the UTH needs both a T-stat and a t-meter is because one goes under the tank directly touching the pad, and the t-meter probe goes on the other side of the glass, causing a bit of an difference in temp.

When it comes to the RHP, I wasnt sure where to place the t-stat probe for this, so I thought it should go right next to where i'll have my ambient t-meter probe. Then i had the question... if the t-stat will raise the ambient temp until the probe reaches the desired temp, and the t-meter probe is right there next to it.. they should in theory have the same reading. If this is the case, is a second t-meter necessary? The t-stat is herpstat 4 if accuracy is a question.
