I've never notice much change with my ball pythons, given 90% of them have the nearly exact same docile personality. However my male carpet python goes through changes every single breeding season. He was a typical carpet baby and grew out of his bitey stages, when he ate you just stuck the f/t rat in front of him and he began to eat it, no constricting.
Then first breeding season he became an angry snake. striking at the glass, it was a scary year.
2nd breeding season comes around, he calms down, eats like a normal snake (constricting f/t then eating), was very handable for a year.
3rd season, became very cage aggressive, but still ate normal.
4th season, docile as can be, back to putting food in front of him and not constricting.
This year was back to cage aggressive and eating normal.
I just started pairing a few weeks ago, so we shall see what hes going to be like this year.
