    Ball python Expo

I went to a reptile expo a while ago and I was about to leave, but I saw some BPs that were being sold by the exit. I walked over, started talking to the vendors, and I saw the cutest little bumble bee bp. This guy was only $30! I couldn't get him at the time, but they are going to the expo again soon, so I hope the prices are still good.

$30 for a Bumble Bee seems a little too good to be true. Be careful when you make any purchase at an expo.

I thought so too. It was really young, but appeared to be healthy.

I don't care how good it looked, I personally would pass on a $30 bee UNLESS I personally knew the breeder.

30$ is weird even if knew the breeder! My normal was "only" 40$, if I saw a Bee for lower ? I'd suspect they were trying to get rid of it for X reason and that's no good news for you.
    Fall 2015 :
"I'll only get one" I said, cuddling a bp hatchling "See how it goes"
    Two months later :
    2 adults, 2 juveniles and 1 bci.
    "Oops"
    Next month :
    Conquering the world

    Re: Ball python Expo

Thanks guys! I thought is sounded a bit to good to be true. Ive looked into it a bit and Ive found a reptile breeder ( not the one with the $30 bee) not to far away from me selling some BPs for reasonable prices, my friend got hers from them, and he's healthy. I think i will wait a bit and then head over to that shop

I would question the bee also, but then again I will sell anything my daughter produces at really low prices unless it's something we want. I am just letting her experience the joy of producing, but I don't want to wait six months to give the new babies new homes. She isn't in it for the
money, but rather to produce a bel and maybe trade some snakes for others she wants.

I think this sounds good but some may see this as cutting prices and think it's the standard and therefore gut the value on the animals market wide. I would prefer to sell them at going rate or a slight discount (if you NEED to move them) on an animal per animal basis. This will make people think it's a great deal but not devalue the market as a whole. Just me though

Also...something was definitely wrong with that bee.

The last time I was in Reno, the Petco had a beautiful little bumblebee. They had him listed as a Spider - there was a spider in there, but the salesperson just thought he was a 'really pretty spider!' Of course, they also wanted $140 for regular spiders - but that's Petco.

Are you positive it was 30 and maybe the dollar sign wasn't just scribbled odd and it was actually 130? If it was 30 I'd definitely be asking why. Hopefully the little guy is healthy and not a hatchling they haven't been able to get to eat or something.
