2 pretty ladies and new diggs

Picked up this pair of pretty ladies, and a 5 droor 41qt rack Sat. This is my first actual purpose built rack. I've had piles of sweater boxes on shelves years ago, but I'm loving these diggs so far. A local breeder (Reptile Obsessions NW) gave me what I feel was a fair package deal on the build plus these lovely ladies.

My 3 year old daughter named both after her favorite cartoon horses.

This is Spirit our super pastel. So far she's pretty mellow, just obviously stressed from the move. I'm sure she'll settle in nicely.

And this is Majesty our pastel enchi. I know a "clean" enchi should be somewhat reduced, but I love how busy her pattern is. She has a little more fire in her, but I'm certain she'll settle nicely as well.

And for the rack itself. It's 1/2" enclosed with 6" Flexwatt belly heat. I've partially repurposed our master walk-in closet as a snake room, and added the oil radiator to help keep things stable during the winter. I was blown away when my wife actually thought this was a good idea. I love that woman!!

Still have 3 droors to fill... I know I'd like a banana, and not sure what else yet. Hopefully I'll score a couple nice snakes at the May expo.

Those are a couple of hot looking ladies! Really like your setup as well. When I was stationed in Virginia I used a very similar radiant oil heater in my snake closet. Regulated it with a T-stat, and it worked like a champ.

Can't wait to see what you end up putting in the empty tubs.

I love your new girls. Spirit looks like my Zeus when he was a baby. I really like your rack. Makes me want to invest in one just for space these days. I am excited to see what you will add to your collection.

awesome pickups! and i love their names. also glad your wife is cool with it but she understands that u have 3 tubs to fill right? lol and now her hubby (and probably daughter) is a BP addict?

the May show should be awesome. the fall hatchlings should have size on them and who knows what else has hatched since then.

Re: 2 pretty ladies and new diggs

Thanks all! I've been an addict for many years, but watching the kiddo's get into them is awesome! My 10 year old son named our male mojo lemmonblast Hugo after a character in a book series he's reading. That dude lives in a cage on our bar though, and wont see much of the rack. Apparently they've already named the banana we haven't even started shopping for Minion. I'm sure a lot of you can make that connection . In all honesty, I think my wife is just as excited to fill those tubs as the rest of us. Well, maybe...

I will definitely post as we pick up.

    @ Slim:

That oil radiator is a champ! It has it's own built in T-stat. With it set just above its lowest setting, my ambient temps are 79 on the cool side, and 92 over the Flexwatt.

Great looking snakes and nice setup. I just bought two of those little heaters myself. The exact same ones. I'm very impressed with them.
