Hi all,
So, I recently got back into macro photography, and I'd like to share the two photos of which I am proudest.
First up is Popeye. Until now, I never thought of using macro to photograph a snake.
And next up is a picture of a native Australian mantis, the Purple Winged Mantis (Tenodera Australasiae). These beautiful creatures measure around 10cm, and are frequently found in tall grasses, feeding upon grasshoppers and butterflies. Boasting a stunning purple hue under their wings when opened, these mantises are unique in that they are part of the rare few mantis species where females can fly.
There you have it. I hope you enjoyed. Let me know what you think, and post your own macro pics if you want.
Kind regards,
Herpo
