Double recessives are priced high right now, I have recently seen Axanthic pieds go for 3,500 to 4,500. Buying axanthics is tricky, I have seen good and bad examples (some hold color some brown out bad) of all lines in person except the Markus Jayne line. Like some one else said the cheapest way to go about it is to buy a pied and an axanthic from a reputable breeder. I would also ask to see the parents for the axanthic and see how much they browned out. Double hets producing "lightning pieds" at 1/16 is a longshot but that's why they cost so much.
