    Pee/urate too often?

Ok guys. I'm hoping I could get some help here. This is the third day in a row where I had to clean Urate and pee from Alduin's cage. So my question is: Does this sound like he is going too often? Just worried is all. They're not big clumps of urates either and I do not see any poop in them. He has been moving around his cage for the past couple of days at night.

Temps measured with an Acurite thermometer. Uth regulated with a T-stat.
    Hot side: floating around 89-92

    Cool side:76-79
    Humidity at the moment: 62

    Housing: 15 qt sterilite bin

I appreciate all of your help in this!

    Re: Pee/urate too often?

Might be too soon to tell.
Is he eating regularly? Active? Does the pee smell "good"? ( lol)
Ball pythons are active during night time, that is normal. He might be cooking a big big poop pie for you.

If this continues, then I will see a vet. Parasites is the only thing that comes to my mind, but the pee smell will be much different in a bad way. You would have noticed it.

    Re: Pee/urate too often?

Well...I can't really tell. The pee doesn't smell any worse than when he first did so for me. I didn't smell anything through this one and neither did my husband. I only checked because he was moving around so much. He has been eating regularly and his last huge dump was on Friday. Today is his scheduled feeding day so that could play a part in his recent nightly activities.
He hasn't been 'soaking' but at times, he did climb in and out of the waterbowl in his rompings through his cage. Perhaps he could be getting too much water because of it?

    Re: Pee/urate too often?

Yes....buy it was pee smell, not rotten smell.
Dont worry about him being active, they all are at night.
If he is eating, active, I think there is nothing wrong.

Every BP eliminates in their own way and on their own time line. Don't worry about them getting over hydrated by cruzin thru the water bowl. That's a non issue.

I have a bp that does the same thing. I just say that he doesn't like to hold it like all the other snakes do.
